Black Sun Dark Engine Covert IR illuminator

Our BSDEC Black Sun Dark Engine Covert IR illuminator is our 940nm version of the standard Black Sun Dark Engine.

At 940nm it is further into the infra red spectrum and has even less noticeable emission from the diode.

Although running at similar power to the 850nm version, all night vision is less sensitive to 940nm radiation so range is reduced by around 40%, but in our tests we were still getting 300 yards of very good illumination, even with digital add on systems.

Due to careful design, the Black Sun Dark Engine does not fall under laser safety classifications and can be used just as safely as any other LED based IR illuminator.

The beam is focussed via a precision multi lens system, providing exceptional beam quality and is easily and smoothly adjusted from flood to spot in under half a turn or the rubberised head.

Choose your switch type required from the drop down box. Choices are:

Single mode - Simple push button on off switch for full power only.
Three mode illuminated - Illuminated push button switch with three power levels and memory.
Variable rotary - Rotary step-less dimmer knob, incorporating push button on/off and status indicator.
