I was surprised at minimal packaging but to be fair it’s the torch that’s important not the packaging. I’ve used this torch several times now and have each time been impressed with its performance, I use it with a pard 007sp and get bright and clear vision at 300 yards which is ample for my needs and well beyond the ability of my previous torch. The torch is very compact and I love the small led at the switch showing when it’s on.
For me a great product at reasonable price.

I saw several reviews online and on YouTube and thought I’d give it a try. Now bear in mind I’ve just switched from an ATN with a night master nm1 xl if torch to an alpex 4k lrf. I saved 1/2 kilo just by changing scopes so thought I would save weight on the ir.
What I’ve experienced is that the torch on flood will not illuminate the whole screen on the alpex. It is dark brother edges, not reaching the full edge. So I’ve come from a full screen to about half. Will probably shelve the torch.

Setting the IR on full flood will fill the field of view of 3.5x base magnification dedicated scopes.
Set the IR up with a tight beam and orientate it in the mount in the centre with the longer sides of the beam top and bottom. The beam will then match the sensor.
Further flood if needed can be achieved by loosening the grub screw and rotating the lens assembly 1 full turn anti-clockwise and tightening the grub screw.

This unit is superb. The description is accurate and the illuminator works perfectly. As described, there's no movement on the lens at all, the beam is perfectly directed with no drop as with my previous unit. Excellent engineering.
